Lily was born and raised on Bainbridge Island, WA and is a proud fourth generation "Islander". At eight years old, she was invited to watch her neighbor's dance class where it was love at first sight.
In 2016, Lily began running the dance department at the Silverdale YMCA and grew the program to a whole new level while enjoying teaching kids from all different backgrounds. In 2022 Lily had the opportunity to start her own dance studio and started down the journey to provide a safe and educational studio to all children in North Kitsap
After graduating from Bainbridge High School, Lily moved to Echo Park in Los Angeles to work with inner city children and teens. She had copious opportunities to study new styles of dance and perform all over California. Lily's love of the Pacific Northwest brought her back to Kitsap where she taught at various dance studios for several years.
Ariana took master classes from Alvin Ailey, Disney, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seaworld, dance companies throughout Seattle, and the 5th Avenue Theater.
Dance was a safe haven for her. Making dance accessible to all including at risk youth and people who have experienced trauma has always been a passion. Ariana loves working with kids and families. She thrives in equipping students with dance skills and encouraging them as they develop their own creative voice and confidence.
Aside from dance training she has taught as a tutor and executive function coach. She majored in English Literature and business and loves books. She marred her high school sweetheart and has 3 kids and 2 corgi
While living in Oahu, Ariana was a part of a contemporary team that choreographed and performed together. There she also did musical Theater and attended a master class with Disney Aulani.
Ariana began training in the Kitsap County area in ballet, jazz, modern dance and hip-hop after taking a class through the Boys and Girls club at the age of 12.
Genevieve grew up in Galway, Ireland and from 3 years old spent most of her time involved in dance and theatre. At the age of 18 she moved to the UK and received a Higher National Diploma from the Newcastle College of Performing Arts and a Degree in Musical Theatre and Dance from Hull University. On completing her studies she secured a job with a top Spanish Performance Company “Romantic Corporate Productions” and spent years on different performance contracts around Spain. She danced on Iberostar Cruiselines around the Mediterranean before settling in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain where she opened her own school “Dance with me Puerto”. While there she choreographed for “Schwarzkopf” at many of their big hair shows in Madrid and Seville and competed annually at the “Vive tu Sueño” National Competition with her dancers.
Between 2014-2017 Genevieve ran the dance and theatre program at the Bremerton YMCA and taught the DAT Senior Company at Irene’s School of Dance until she returned to Spain. She resumed her dance school and built up a strong reputation with the Spanish and US military communities and families. In 2021 the military brought Genevieve, her husband and 2 children back to Silverdale. She returned to Irene’s and also began working as a Montessori assistant at First Stage Montessori where she is working towards her teaching qualification. She is involved with different theatre groups and dance schools around Kitsap County and loves encouraging youth through dance.
She speaks fluent Spanish, Gaelic, some German and can converse in Russian. She adores her husband, 2 children and their chickens and loves hiking and kayaking with them around Washington.
After working for years at the YMCA, Lily discovered her love for teaching students who would otherwise not have a chance to step into a studio. Providing the same quality of training you'd have in higher end studios and making it more accessible became an important pillar in opening North Kitsap Danceworks.
"I know dance can help some children grow into the person they are meant to be"
"Your child's health and well being is as important to me as their talent goals. I know first hand how all consuming dance can be which can result in unhealthy habits and burnout. Balance in all things is key to reaching those goals.
I help train incredible dancers and help build them a tool kit for life: healthy mindset, disciplined, healthy eating habits, strong, sustainable. "
