Lily is a proud fourth-generation Bainbridge Islander who fell in love with dance at just eight years old. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked with kids and teens while exploring new styles of dance and performing across California. Missing the Pacific Northwest, she returned home and shared her passion at local studios before stepping into leadership. In 2016, she grew the Silverdale YMCA’s dance program into a thriving community where every child could feel welcome. By 2022, Lily followed her dream of opening her own studio, creating a safe and inspiring space for children in North Kitsap to learn, grow, and express themselves through dance.
Ariana discovered her love of dance at 12 through a Boys and Girls Club class and went on to train in ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. Her journey has taken her from Oahu, where she performed with a contemporary team and explored musical theater, to master classes with renowned groups like Alvin Ailey, Disney, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Dance has always been a safe haven for her, and she is passionate about making it accessible to all; especially at-risk youth and those who’ve experienced trauma. Ariana finds joy in teaching kids and families, building both their dance skills and their confidence. Outside the studio, she’s a book lover with a degree in English Literature and business, a proud mom of three, and happily married to her high school sweetheart—with two corgis completing the family.
Genevieve grew up in Galway, Ireland, where her love of dance and theatre began at the age of three. She studied Musical Theatre and Dance in the UK before performing across Spain with professional companies and eventually opening her own dance school, “Dance with Me Puerto.” Her career has included cruise line performances, choreographing for international brands, and teaching programs in both Spain and Kitsap County. In 2021 she and her family moved back to Silverdale, where she continues to teach dance, work in Montessori education, and inspire young performers. Outside the studio, Genevieve enjoys life with her husband, two children, and their chickens—and loves exploring Washington through hiking and kayaking.
Shelley grew up in Minnesota and fell in love with dance during her very first tap class at a community center. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary as a competitive studio dancer and enjoyed exploring a variety of styles. In high school, she performed on an award-winning team in both jazz and high-kick, experiences that deepened her love for teamwork and performance. After college, she returned as a coach for high school dance athletes before moving around the country with her husband and family. Now happily settled in the Pacific Northwest, Shelley is excited to share her passion for dance and teaching with the NKDW community.
Miss Megan grew up in Oregon and started dancing at the age of four, training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap, and hip hop. After working for years at the YMCA, Lily discovered her love for teaching students who would otherwise not have a chance to step into a studio. Providing the same quality of training you'd have in higher end studios and making it more accessible became an important pillar in opening North Kitsap Danceworks.
"I know dance can help some children grow into the person they are meant to be"
"Your child's health and well being is as important to me as their talent goals. I know first hand how all consuming dance can be which can result in unhealthy habits and burnout. Balance in all things is key to reaching those goals.
I help train incredible dancers and help build them a tool kit for life: healthy mindset, disciplined, healthy eating habits, strong, sustainable. "
